OBJECTIVE: The course objective is to provide hands-on training to attendees for operating Geoprobe® direct-push equipment. COURSE TOPICS: The course will address various soil, soil gas & groundwater sampling techniques using Geoprobe® sampling equipment, including grout and ORC injection. The instructor demonstrates soil collection methods using open and closed system Macrocore and Large Bore samplers; application using the expendable points for collection of soil gas and groundwater grab samples; including more sophisticated groundwater sampling methods using the screen 15 system, GW profiler and pre-packed and non-prepacked well screens installation inside hollow stem Geoprobe® rods. The course includes a discussion of NJ regulations and OHSA requirements and detailed discussion of utility markouts. Although the course has a defined format covering approximately 4 hours of training, the course can be specifically tailored to meet your Geoprobe® application needs. COURSE INSTRUCTOR: Our course instructor holds a Master Degree in Geology and has 14 years experience working in the environmental consulting field. He is a NJ certified subsurface evaluator, a licensed test borer and an active member pf ASTM D18.21 soil and rock subcommittee. As a subcommittee member, our instructor provides input to proposed ASTM standards aiding in new ASTM standard development for soil, groundwater and rock activities. He is published in the industry and provides expertise to those requiring direct push application involving site investigation and in-situ remediation. Our instructor has also installed over 500 soil borings, soil gas points and groundwater piezometers for environmental applications. SCHEDULE & FEES: The course is held the 1st Saturday of each month. Class sizes range from 2 to 8 attendees. The course is $300 per person and $200 per person when 2 or more company employees attend.
